VIAGRO

Innovation and Tradition in Almerian Agriculture

Viagro S.A. is a reference company in the agricultural sector based in Almería (La Cañada de San Urbano), dedicated for over four decades to plant nutrition and crop protection.

Founded in the early 1980s, the company has evolved from a traditional distributor into a key player in agricultural innovation and regenerative agriculture.

History and Evolution

What began in 1980 as a firm specialized in fertigation, a qualitative leap occurs starting in the year 2000. Viagro diversified its activities to meet the growing demands of the 'Almería model,' investing in its own infrastructure to provide a 360-degree comprehensive service to the farmer. Today, its scope of action extends beyond the province, providing services at both National and International levels.

Services and Specialization

Viagro’s activity is built upon several fundamental pillars that guarantee quality and efficiency in the field:

  • Advanced Plant Nutrition: We are manufacturers and packers of fertilizers (both liquid and solid) and deficiency correctors. We feature renowned proprietary brands such as Fertinatura and Orionvia, designed following exhaustive studies of sap dynamics and soil requirements.

  • Research and Development (R&D): We have an accredited department to conduct Officially Recognized Trials (EOR), which are essential for registering new phytosanitary products with the Ministry of Agriculture and the European Union. We operate our own experimental farms to test the efficacy of inputs on horticultural and fruit crops.

  • Own Laboratory: We perform precise analyses of water, soil, and raw materials, allowing our technicians to prescribe "tailor-made" solutions to maximize the yield of every farm.

  • Plant Health and Biological Control: In addition to distributing top-tier phytosanitary brands, we are pioneers in zero-residue strategies and biological pest control, promoting the use of beneficial insects (auxiliary fauna) and microorganisms.

Philosophy and Commitment

Viagro stands out for its focus on regenerative agriculture and sustainability.

  • Mission: Our mission is not only to improve the farmer's productivity but also to guarantee the health of the final consumer and the conservation of the environment.

  • Technical Advisory: Through close technical advisory, we seek the economic viability of farms by optimizing resources and implementing technological innovation.

  • Pioneering Innovation: Just as we were pioneers in the past with the introduction of thermal blankets and agrotextiles, we continue to lead the way today.

In summary, Viagro represents the union between the experience of traditional agriculture and the scientific avant-garde, consolidating itself as a strategic ally for the professional farmer seeking quality, profitability, and sustainability.

The R&D team starts in the field

Agronomic management success requires human excellence.

Truly efficient agronomic management can only be achieved through the intervention of highly qualified personnel, capable of comprehensively understanding and attending agricultural needs, sustainability principles, and economic objectives.

This holistic vision is the key to achieving solid and lasting results in the agrifood sector.

The pepper season has begun. Karibu is establishing itself as a leading variety due to its resistance to powdery mildew

La Cañada

August is the peak tomato planting season in the province of Almería. This is a critical period due to heat stress and the essential timing for soil regeneration.

Starting with pathogen-free water is vital; for this, we use Hypoclorsan, followed by active soil regeneration with Fertinatura and Rgen
